This is my newest artwork, i'm pretty satisfied but it kinda creeps me out, I'd like C+C and also some advice on how to go about doing the wings which should be translucent and reflective. I'll post some more small bugs on here from my old game stuff since it's a different theme than the other one i did.

Cool !, I like the creature itself, cool and creepy, the expression is great, and I like the pallete.
Not 100% sure about the lighting :
On the body, if the light source is underneath, as it would seem to be looking at the top half of the body nearest the head, the underside of the bottom of the creature should be lit up, this looks like the creature is curled around the light source a bit to me, as for the wings, that'll depend on what background is goin to be seen through them I guess.
You might want to check the lighting on the face and eyes aswell, the face seems to have light source to right, eyes one is to the left.
But I like the concept alot, and get some more peoples opinions, I could be wrong about the lighting.

Yeah thanks guys I noticed the face versus eyes light source after the fact, didn't notice the body, thanks...the wings aren't even finished it's still a wip i wasn't sure how to make them I haven't decided on a background, some suggestions on that are welcome too. I'm thinking there should be a second pair of wings probably and this pair should be larger as well. i tried to fix the lightsource.

heres a qwik edit, i've just roughly drawn straight over your original. it's based on a tribal pattern that i'm working on for a tattoo. i just figured you needed something more 'goth' rather than the 'fairy' wingys...!! oh and sorry about the white bg, like i said it was a qwik edit, about 2 minutes on the wacom.

Try dithering the wings with your transparent color, it'd work alot better than one flat color.

Yeah was working on it but hadn't posted yet, I did one hybridization (not a word) with trowas, while esperimenting and ultimately fised the lighting, as last one looked off still. Now i see the bottom wing needs shading for the shadow of the body, oh well.

Heh nice one, Xanthier, you are better and better :]
Shadowing on first one was more fluid I didn't look in the lightsourcce matter but dunno, maybe it really was wrong way :] Anyway new wings are better but I think you could use some references. Look around internet I really have no idea how to improve them. Hey you all out there how to do it. I name you. Tsu, Frozen, Pep, Nem, Sals ahem okey let's skip it all of you guys are good :] Anyone drawn dragonfly's wings? Maybe some new people. Dogmeat? TwistedSomeone? X]
