Arrgh........Krazex, did you just join? If you did, that means you probably didn't read the FAQ on appropriate behavior.
Never, ever post a one-word post. Ever. On the regular pixelation board, there is a 100-character minimum, so try to stick to that here too. "Nice" doesn't tell monteboyd anything about his work. jes for your information.
monteboyd: The scenes look good. But, they are very small. Are those 16x16 tiles? The background looks kinda plain, you might want to put some clouds in or something.

The tiles all have a pretty distinct style to them.. sorta like Super Mario heh, that's what I thought when I first saw them heh
Problem with the first tileset though, the color fades from light to dark on the ground layer at the right and it collides with the left side's lighter shade
The rocks on the second tileset look pretty cool heh, the snow though, looks sorta of strange with the highlight.
The sprites complement the styles very well, good job heh
I like this, keep it up

(argh, this fake board is misrable) Nice to see some more iDG members on Pixelation. I really like the smooth style but maybe a bit of sel-out sould help to replace the black lines? (see www.indie-rpg.net/pixel-zone/shtml/tut-selout.shtml) Otherwise, the sprites/tiles amazing. Great work. |
