Well, here's that sig for Dei that I've been working on...I THINK the outlining should work on any dark background, though I'm not 100% certain. Now all I need to do is go back and AA this next on to death...(And I did cheat...A little, I copy-pasted the text from this mini-sig into the full sized one...Though I may go back and change that text)... C&C welcome...=)

Grr...Need edit...BTW the sig, here's the skinny: 117x57@14 colors + transp.
I go the inspiration for the pic from Dei's website, which I'd really recommend visiting and would include a link for if I could remember it...=/

the shading on the brown part of the furre is really pillow shaded, I would suggest working on it a little more, its really hard to make out the body.

Second try...Though I think I'm done after this one...I've spent a lot of time tweaking this to make it look right...And that's before posting the first version... If anything glares at you let me know...Thanks...

ok i think you should grab the darkest brown that you have on the fur and make a new swatch thats drastically darker, in your dark areas, checkerboard this new darker brown around the dark areas, it will bring out the shading more then it is, you also might want to do the opposite for the lighter areas. Its still not well defined in the fur areas.

Actually I was trying to avoid dithering on the fur...Though I could add another dark shade and step it down further...*shrugs*
I may see about making improvements later, for now I'm going to work on something else. Besides the sig probably won't see much use until the real Pixelation board is back up, so I've got some time...

np, i was waiting for a 11x17 to print out so I modified your catlady while I was waiting, only did the legs so you could see what I was talking about, and I only added 1 color. Hope this helps at all.

Erm...That actually, to me, make the legs look really formless and blurry...Which is why I decided not to dither the fur... I did try dithering the fur...Really I did...I simply couldn't come up with a result that I was happy with...Between that and studying Dei's avatar and various line art is where I came up with the palette, chara, and style of the piece... Not to be defensive (or an A$$), but I'm actually pretty pleased with my work...I have another version that I'm dinking with, but in my opinion it doesn't look as good as what I have posted...

Nice sig. Edit is better in a way, that is outlines are easier to see. It is original sig that is quite blurry. Still sth bugs me about thse lighter areas - too much contrast (where on your pic there is too little contrast) :]
Nice try anyway. I like it, heh :]

Ok...I really wish I had the edit feature here, but it's not worth signing up on this board to me... FINAL EDIT: I have tweaked this as much as I am willing to...currently...If I get some truly awesome C&C I'll take it into consideration...Without further ado... As a note...I REALLY don't see how you're having a problem seeing the outlines, but seeing as I'm the one doing this maybe I'm too close to the material...You might want to check the brightness on you monitor though...I've looked at this pic on three separate monitors and the only problems I have seen would be the hand supporting the head...I'd love to hear opinions from some other folks regarding the outlines in specific, to see whether I'm crazy, need my eyes checked or what...

I can easily see leg outline, though it is blurry and too litle contrastet (it may be shading of some kind...). But hand supporting head seems to have no outline at all. Believe, you could try to fix it. At least that's how I see it.

Yeeeaaarrrg! Must work faster!
... Must work! No more play Disgaea! Bad Dei'! No more wasting time playi... hmmm...
Prinny's... Hmmmm.
Erm. As for the sig, I am most pleased with it. Personally, the one I like is... er... hmmm... I... can't decide. I like them all! I'm not even sure if I can offer any real commentary on this; but here goes.
I very much like all incarnations that you've provided; they're clean and professionally done. Her pose is good; I particularly like the addition of her blaster. As if someone came upon her napping and woke her rudely or unexpectedly. Her body is somewhat obscured, but I can find no problem with this.
Actually, the only odd thing I can find is with her tail; it seems to give her an odd lump on her rear. It's either that or she has a truly massive butt. However, all in all this is excellent work, and I happily accept it.

Alright... here goes a test version of my half-of the bargain, just to see if the concept agrees wit' ye, eghost. Just an outline and a basic colour map. No frills... yet. Too bad there isn't a 2x funtion here... Wow... amazing what I can do when I work myself into enough of a frenzy. -Dei'
