I made another, smaller "Julie" image for use in my rpg's description screen, but it doesn't look quite right. I tried a new set of colors, and also tried to make the space more 3d than usual, but gave up on the head since I lack the skill to balance a face. Well anyway, the thing I need help with is the legs primarily. I can't visualize how things look in a three dimensional way, but she's supposed to be sitting on a flat surface like the ground, with one arm behind her back and one kinda holding down her dress so you can't see up it. Also the whole thing has a totally different feel from the other images I made from the description screens of my rpg. I'm pretty sure the cause is the change in colors, and they won't be shown on the same screen at the same time, but I'd still like to find a way to bridge the feel a little. The only comment I don't want is about selout or antialiasing. Just before I put the images into the game I give a simple antialias using 2 colors that smooths em out quite a bit, but I don't want to now, since it's hard to predict the background color they'll be on finally.

The problem with the colors is you are probably drawing on a white background, next time try using a semi-dark blue like the old pixelation background, as for anatomy, her hand is WAY too small, put the bottom of the palm of your hand at your chin, and fully extend your fingers-they end at your hairline, this is a good way to measure hands, her shoulders are looking too high and the upper arm area and breasts should be a few pixels lower, the collarbones look a little uneven, and overall the skintones lack contrast and are too saturated, as for the foreshortening, her left (our right) leg looks fine, but on her right (our left) the foot could be bent downward more to look more relaxed, good luck =)
