Ready for a nice deal? : ) My brother found this a couple days ago and I was blown away, but I had my doubts. It was for free professional hosting (500 mb storage, 5 gb bandwidth) for three years. They say that's $1000 dollars worth of hosting ($30 a month, I think). So I went ahead and signed up, and after a few days (mainly getting my nameserver thingys transfered) I've really actived my hosting. Check it out over at: www.silvir.com/ I already had the domain some where else, but now I've set all that stuff up. Don't have a domain name? No prob. They'll give you a free trashy little addy (lots of numbers and really long, not customizable) but getting a .tk could fix that up. Those with the fear of being too young: don't worry. You don't need to put in any credit card info, and the only reason they need your phone number is so that some automated response machine will call you up and tell you your pin number thingy. Are you psyched up now? I sure hope so. Now here's the domain: www.1and1.com/Yes, you may now fear me. ...Anyways, this means I might be a little more encouraged to work on a portfolio for myself. Look for more on that later. : )

notice he's talking as if he were a client of theirs or something, yet he sets his handle up as the same name as the company..

Naw, Dogmeat, it's Silvir. I've worked with him on pixelart, he's a good guy, worth trusting over something as trivial as this, anyway. (Assuming that it isn't some random person who signed in as him since he's a guest... hehehe ^_~)

No problem, if you didn't know I'm a somewhat well known (at least I'd like to think so) pixeler at pixelation. Silvir has been my name for years and it's not really a "company", just a nickname. : )

Oh, ok. Now that I read it again from that viewpoint it seems pretty odd. No problem. : ) On another note, has anyone signed up?

and the only reason they need your phone number is so that some automated response machine will call you up and tell you your pin number thingy. Don't be surprised if you number has now been sold to a heap of spam call companies. Sending your pin via e-mail would be a lot easier and cheaper for them. There is a reason they wanted your phone number, and it's not to send you your pin. Just because they they have a Privacy Policy, doesn't mean they will follow it. Proving that a company shared your details with any third party, almost impossible. And on the odd chance that they don't, it still doesn't mean that their company doesn't have sub-companies that do those sort of spam calls. I really hope for you, it's as good as it looks. But in my experience, there is no such thing as free.

Say what you will, but I havn't gotten ONE phone call that's even remotely related to this deal. And besides, couldn't you just use someone else's phone?
