just so we're not completely art-deprived over here... <img src=http://irc.wgp.org/users/papillon/screen.png> Not quite 100% pure-pixel (got lazy and tired on one of the trees) but a lot of it is, and you can see my advancements on the whole grass issue (as opposed to the mostly flat-green of my last game)

You should be able to post images with PHPBB script, or alternately just use the image button up there. >>edit>> Oh and you can edit your original post by clicking on modify.

I see neither a 'modify' nor an image button. Possibly because I don't have javascript, and I don't have an account. Enh, no biggie. "Your browser is not compatible with our extra feature buttons."

That should work. As for the picture, some nice textures and more contrast (and a lot more detail) would work really nice. Draw individual groups of leaves in the trees.

an ant. this game is being done under SERIOUS time constraints (I have to turn it in in a week and I'm still programming!) so redoing much art once it's up is not very likely. this area is supposed to be reminiscent of a kid's storybook though (one of the trees you can't see in this shot is very Dr Seuss inspired) so I'm not really interested in heavy detail and shading.
