Noadi: Wow, that turned out great. Love the leaves effect and how they match the orange flowers. It provides nice balance to the picture. I think the grass and plants on the background look ok. I would not change them. I would like to see more of those little silver flowers you have in the corner. Perhaps somewhere around the trees? Hmm, lets see what else. I think the center of the leaves "swirl" is misplaced, the top part, where it ends, should be somewhere above the weapon, not on the side. But maybe it's just me. Oh did i mention the brown flowers look very good (again). The only critique I have is Noadi's right hand. Is she supposed to have a claw-like hand like that? It looks like she only has two fingers and no thumb, unless it was intentional.... Oh yes, less pillow shading and more folds on the shirt would be nice as well, but it's wasn't so noticeable to me untill it was pointed out. Overall, great work. Very impressive! I really enjoy your style.

Has just occured to me - yep leaves would look better for me ending above the weapon (still they should go somewhere after that think of it :] ). But that's not what occured to me. Leaves could look more 3d. Darken those in the back of picture and lighten up or make more *hot* (red i.e.) those in front. And there is also on problem - leaves seem to be ascending on *her* left, going round her, descending a bit in front of her and then heavily ascending on *her* left. I think less regularity and more order (like generally it should ascend everywhere) plus some chaos as I've pointed out before would make it *even* better :] As to the background - I've never said it is bad still I think you can improve it, a tad more details but don't spoil it by working too much on it. Still bushes are mid-background and could use some more deatiling.

Methinks: I agree with you on the background but where I've spent so long on this piece I may leave the background as it is for now. I'm just getting very tired of working on this piece and want it finished. The bushed aren't completely done yet which is why they need more definition. Anyway to me the main thing to fix right now is the hand. After I increase the contrast on the falcon I'll see how it looks and what else needs to change.
Firefly: I'm glad you like the day lilies. Actually them matching the leaves isn't all that deliberate I was just trying to conserve colors but I guess it turned out better than I thought. Hmmm...more purple flowers, I can do that ^_^ Again I know that hand is awful.

A lot of unused space that looks unnatural on clothes.
The way you pillowshaded the folds on her left knee looks artificial , and it doesnt seem to be generated by her leg.
The lost look on her face does not add much atmosphere to the scene either , its like she´s doing several things , yet pays attention to none.
The falcon looks a bit small to my taste , and its chest area lacks texture.
Now , if you say that "pillow shading" is your "style" then go ahead and use it (heh , your drawings after all) but in my opinion pillow shading doesnt look good , thats not being rude , just my opinion . ( and from what i saw in pixelation , a lot people think the same)
