Hey all, I kinda blitzed this project to have time for my GBA thing, so I think they came out ok but not too hot. I used the rock shading method, so don't bother looking for detail and coherency up close -- there isn't any. These areas are: 1. San Francisco 2. The Himalayas 3. Scotland - Adam

hey adam looks great, i really like the scotland and Himalaya graphics, but the San Francisco level looks a bit doll. maybe make the road look a bit smoother, its looks very rough at the moment. looking forward to try it out

Only thing I don't like is the bright yellow in the spruce tree. Usually you'll see a few yellow needles here and there, but I've never seen big clumps of yellow like that. Bah. Whenever I look at your stuff, it just reminds me that I have a lot to learn.

looks great for the most part... but not a big fan of the background for the San Fran set... looks a little 'rough' in comparison to the work youve put into the other tiles...... no offense intended... also a small nitpick but its just a personal feeling so its not worth worrying about really... but I figure Ill mention it as thats the point of these boards right? the painted lines on the road might look good if you moved them to the right by a couple pixels to give the road a bit more perspective... at the moment it strikes me as the road being at a different perspective to the skater slightly as both sides of the road have equal space... meaning it is flat up against the screen instead of at an angle... but that might just be me... speaking of angles the skater appears to be traveling at a slightly different angle to the level (not straight down) but Im assuming thats the intent... other than that Im loving some of your textures... looks nifty

Yeah, the SF is a notch below the other two in quality, which is odd since it took the longest. But I doubt I'll redo it since it's already in the engine. It's supposed to be grass in the 3rd foreground, not a tree (even though it totally looks like a tipped pine). In looking up reference pics for Scotland, I saw a few that had little yellow patches mixed in with the greenery.

Hm, not bad at all. Kinda hard to make out, but those mountains and grass (righthand two) are quite nice.

Whoa, what part of San Francisco is that? I live there and I haven't seen anything near that purple anywhere... or is it another San Francisco?

It's me getting too creative on fog. Everyone should just ignore the first one, it sucks pretty much all around (and like I said, took way more time to do than the other two combined). - Adam

Wow I really love these, the colours are so vibrant. Care to explain the rock shading method in more detail please

This stuff is very nice. As everyone said, SF doesn't look very nice, but altogether, it's great. Have any of your cel games been published (or what ever it's called when a cel game goes on the market) yet? This one looks pretty fun.
