Nice start... and good size... in fact going over 32x32 is quite hard if you want some detail and proportional anatomy in... now you should try increasing contrast on the metals... this way you can range your almost white to almost black grey sades and get rid of the outline ('bout 4-5 shades is what I normally use... depending on color restriction) Legs are quite correct for me in lenght, but not in width... they look very uncompensated with the breastplate... anyway it can easilly be a style prob with me As for the cloth... a bit long for me... did you se my small 32x32 knight? You'll see what I mean

Ah, Slainte, I still don't get how you do what you do. Yes, added another shade, took away the darkest shade, made the first lighter, and the 3rd a bit darker. except I don't have any very dark ones now... and I tried taking away the outlines, shortened the cloth too... now that I look at it, it looks a lot worse... dang, how come they always look better to me in mspaint, must be my eyes Edit: darkened shades 2 and 3 of the grey...

I just did a fast edit on your base sprite... just changed one grey (darkened it a bit as you had 2 very close grey shades at R=G=B=47 and R=G=B=48) Not a very polished work, but shows a bit on what I mean with contrast and proportions (minor edits on the legs and feet)
