Animation -The above for making the frames -Irfanview for viewing the animation while I'm making it -Easy Gif Animator for making the gif.

MS Paint is the best. I got it and i love it. There are only some things what are missing. First: You cannot divide the picture into tiles like 32X32 and so on... Second: You cannot pick random colours and take the same colours darker version. Third: You cannot change the colour in your picture. I mean, lets think that there is yllow in the picture all in tiny spots. But you want that yellow is red or smth. You have to change the colours manually peace by peace. But you cannot do it automatically. So, these are the problems, but I still love it. There are programs where are such things in but they are a bit clumsy. For nimation, I use Image Ready.

I'm not sure what you meant by that first problem, but you can do the other two. Go to edit custom colors or whatever and pick a random color, then take the lum. down for two. For three, you get the color you want to change and apply it to your left-click (or foreground), and take what you want to change it to and apply it to your right-click (/background). Click the eraser tool and right-click-drag it over the picture. Only changes what is in the left-click. Have fun with it. XD

Paint Shop Pro 7 (As far as I'm concerned no other program has as perfect a blend of power and ease of use)
Animation Shop 2 (A bit of a pain at times but it'll do for now)
Game Maker (Cos I ain't got much of a brain for programming and even this gives me a headache at times)

I use Paint shop pro 7 currently for pixelling. I'll be using Paint shop pro 8 very shortly, like, Christmas. As for animation, I use Jasc Animation Shop. And for development . . . I don't.

It's funny how many people use MS Paint, I'm guessing there is some connection between it and the addiction to pixeling. I used to use it too for years and it wasn't till I took a Digital Media class and discovered Photoshop layers that I switched over.
MS Paint is great though and I used to be able to make some amazing looking things with it. I look back at some of the stuff and I'm amazed what I was able to pull off with such a minimal tool.

It isn't the tool, it's how you use it. That applies to other things than pixelling, as well. ;)

I prefer photoshop. I like the layers which makes alot of things easier. I dunno I guess Im just used to it, since Ive only used photoshop for pixeling.

I use both MSPaint and Photoshop. Each has it's uses. MSPaint is faster and easier for sketching than Photoshop, but Photoshop is much better for selecting colors, shading, detailing, using layers, color tweaking, AAing, etc etc etc.

Ultim, guitar and piano. I'm much better at piano, even though I've never owned one, and have put in waaay less time with a piano then I have with a guitar. oh and nem, in no way does mspaint make anything you do in it faster then photoshop, unless your still running a p133 with 32mb of ram
