The site would be two fold in application. The round Table section would be for staff membersd of approved development teams. Inside the round table you will be able to post updates on your video game that can be viewed by your staff, or by the round table members, or by general web browsers. So there would be three levels of security. Each team would be able to control content for their section of the site, with news updates and everything. There would be a FAQ that we can all get together to write about all aspects, contacts and links for the dev process. For example, I have names, numbers and e-mail addresses for the staff of the licensing department at NOA. I would help with updates and news on the industry on the main page, and I am sure a few others would volunteer.
Secondly, there would be an open forum. Table members can post job opening details, and applicants can feel safe that the job is not a joke because they have gone through our reviewing process.

Good luck with it. You might want to add a tutorial for the newbie who saw one of your games and decided he might think it's cool to get into that stuff (give overview of what games are made with to begin with, then delve into it a little more thoroughly). You might also accidentally put some applications around the tutorial... xD
And Synister, where there's a will, there's a way. Money is cold, lifeless cotton paper. Treat it that way. You are your own obstruction just as you are your only hope.

i think thats a great idea. kind of the gamedev forum without all the pregnant doges that flame you for having an idea (sorry i had to get that out of my system). im all for this, and would appreciate it if you contacted me for any information you may need regarding my involvement with the project (if indeed it is an open community and i can participate)

Keep this in mind as well...if we have even 5 good dev teams on the round table...1 of them gets published and informs Nintendo that they are a member of the GBA Devr's round table.."blah blah blah, here's the address....that's INSTANT exposure. n Suddenly NOA has a new resource for games and we gain exposure.
**heheh, imagining the portal page image....knights sitting around a table playing on GBA's, lol

*Everyone turns to stare at Ultim as his laugh quickly fades away and the room turns to utter silence. After a few uncomfortable moments some lonely crickets begin to chirp and then some rough houseing starts up where Ultim begins to be beat down by the angry crowd*

Screw that, they should be playing the normal old school one whether it's actually correct or not.

Ok everyone, if you are down and have a dev team, e-mail me at danbushman@eg-games.com and let me know. If you like the idea, but aren't part of a development team, e-mail me anyway, but specify that you are not on a team. I will send out information to everyone that e-mails me on the specifics of the idea.
PS: Anyone interested in doing site design/programming/artwork please email me as well. Thanks!

is anyone willing to help with the site gfx? as in the portal page image (if you have better idea than the one I proposed, feel free to let me know), the buttons?
I could trade something for it if needed..server space maybe. My pixel artists are tied up at the moment, so they can't. The portal page can be hand drawn if needed, but the buttons would need to be pixelled.
Surt: your work would be awesome for this type of thing....

My experience is that webpages using computer generated images look better than you can ever pixel. Someone needs to come along and destroy my view of this.
