TETRA VALOR Project started in 2002 by Omega Hey, I'm Omega and I'm currently making a game called Tetra Valor with a few other people. It's a role-playing game which aims to become one of the best the amateur game-creating community has ever seen. Also one of the necessities is that this game is 100% original, thus not having any stolen or ripped graphics from other games. To do this, we need your help! We have every aspect of the game covered, except for the making of so-called chipsets (the tiles that form the maps you walk in). I'm wondering if anybody from this community is willing to help out with this. I'm looking for basically any type of tilesets, with the minimum condition that the tiles are original, though I'd just love it if someone would be willing to make tiles in the style of FF5 or Suikoden. Is anybody interested? Please keep in mind that Tetra Valor is a game developed by amateurs, not professionals. We have no intention to sell the game once it's completed (nor the possibility), and therefore we don't pay people who help out. Still, I hope that doesn't let down any potential volunteers! Thanks for every reply. OMEGA Game designer, Main programmer, Creative director STORMWULF Asst. Game designer, Storyline writer, Music composer DARIORAMSUS Music composer GOLD DRAGON Asst. Creative director, Character designer . . . and LORD OF DARKNESS (Monster designer), DRAGONSLAYER (Map director).

Thanks for replying, everyone. Before I can say anything about accepting people, I'd like to see some of your work, though. Do you have a website or maybe a portfolio? Here are examples of the stuff I'm looking for. These are screenshots taken from Final Fantasy 5. tetravalor.avalanchestudios.net/personal%20folder/omega/screenshots/FF5_J1-2003-09_24-18-37-13.giftetravalor.avalanchestudios.net/personal%20folder/omega/screenshots/FF5_J1-2003-09_24-18-36-22.gifAll tiles will be 16x16, and tilesets are sized 480x256. There will be tilesets like "Town", which contains houses and all kinds of things, "Castle", and lots other stuff. You get the picture. It's a pretty big task, in my opinion. One thing I forgot to mention, though. I'm member of a game creators group called Avalanche Studios. This group has been known for having big projects, and this is one of them. If you want to work for this RPG, it doesn't necessarily mean you can be member of Avalanche Studios, too, but if you're interested, you probably can.

Looking at the screens it looked very professional, but If it's in a RPGmaker i'm going to have to eat my words. :/ Looks like a good game though, sorry I'm busy with my own stuff.

The game looks mighty impressive so far. I've seen that monster in about two other games though ..

Wow, I love this idea. I would be plenty willing to do some characters, concept art, or whatever. I am very busy with school and several odd jobs but I pixel fast. I really would prefer not to do a ton either. Send me some info.

Just by looking at it I can tell it's RPG Maker. Seeing as it's RPG Maker, your "It's a role-playing game which aims to become one of the best the amateur game-creating community has ever seen" isn't going to happen, unless you use ameteur in a different manner. www.df-designsCheck the Links section. Yes, it's huge, and there's an RPG there somewhere. I forgot what it was called and what it was made with, and I never tried it anyway, so ask around. It's supposed to be one of the best ameteur games around, and might give you inspiration. But, my main point is, you won't make the ultimate game with RM2K. It's great, but it has its limits. Try Multimedia Fusion instead. *prepares for a wave of idiots who tried the program for five minutes and said it sucks*

You cackle? Obviously you don't know anything about Multimedia Fusion. Perhaps the last version you tried was 1.2? Very buggy indeed, but the current version kicks any other Game Creation Utility's ass.
And I cand find a link to an ownage game or two to prove it.
