Hey everyone, I'm new to pixelation, I was going to sign up when i got home from work last week sometime, when I found out the site was down. Anyway, here is some of my stuff. The big image is my first ever pixel art image, and the second one was an animation I was playing with today for a new website I will be doing later on. Thanks. - and -

hey man, the large building is great! nice work! I havent been on Pixelation for AGES because of my d**n firewall not allowing me to read posts. well my net security. its blocked me for pr0n/sex i mean wtf is up with that lol i think a suggestion is that you could have a larger variety of more house than 3. plus same houses also coloured dif. could add a more.. real thing. like instead of having the same thing going around thre could be something different and what not. i know people like their houses all different.

Great stuff man, Couple of thoughts, Like the cartoony look and the colours work v well, Having a more varied selection of buildings would be good though. Also the thickness of the top edge of that main building looks a little inconsistent to me, maybe thats just me. Maybe have a few different vehicles also, throw a few vans and lorries etc in. The cool thing is if u stick at the same scale u can build up a library of buildings and objects and stuff and maybe re-use em ala eboy. Overall really cool though, keep it up

Yea, I wanted to do more different buildings but I got too excited and wanted to finish it faster, same thing with cars. I wanted to throw in a ranch to keep the animals, more fencing, details details etc.. I think my next iso style image will be alot more detailed and have more realism, thanks for the critique

Hiya, great image Dogmeat, I agree with twistedchimp and yuhkaz about the variation on the buildings and cars, and would like to say the same about the trees/shrubbery. Overall I think the colours lend itself well to the town. I'm also new to the board and not sure about the ettiquette of critting things here and I don't wanna seem anal, I'm only picking things out because I'm looking to improve myself.. so if any of my next comments seem out of sorts please take with a pinch of salt and think..'silly girl' I notice on the red roofs the shading line seems darker/double thickness then on the blue roofs ..something about the cars..I'm not sure what, when I look at it against a garage/house and on the road it seems a good size, but that little green car by the trees makes the car seem really small, then I think well you get big trees..then I compare the car size to an animal and think ..wow!! you'd get ALOT of burgers from that beast chris

welcome to pixelation 'dogmeat'. That's some nice pixelling, and a nice consistent iso grid as far as i can tell. Just a few things that i have noticed at first glance: The roads are at inconsistent widths, some are about 3 pixels smaller than the others, so far i have spotted 3 different road widths. was this intentional?? Several of the road markings are not central to the road. the sheep are bigger than the 'mans'..!! IMO the dithering on the roofs doesn't work to well, but then i'm biased to sharp highlights. But overall its a nice sprite, if you're gonna make any changes i would do the road markings and make the road sizes consistent as for the animation, it's really nice, just a quick improve ment would be to put a bit of glare on the car window screen as it comes out from behind the tree.

well the roads are supposed to be incosistant. its supposed to be a small american town, you have your main roads that go in and out of town, then your roads in the neighborhoods which are smaller, because they're not meant to accomodate large trucks and whatnot. as for the rest, thanks for the crit oh and for the proportions on the animals vs. people, yes I know they are terrible, either these people are 2 feet high, or the animals are 10 feet tall, it doesnt make sense, but i was in a rush to finish it, so the animals were a lazy way to finish.
