I sprited this yesterday, and posted it at natomic and it went down , so I'll post it here: Took about an hour. It's supposed to be a statue of Dim, the Goddess of Gods. It is not broken and doesn't have any level of deterioration for it's a new statue (it's gonna be used in game ). I think there's something that I'm missing. If anyone can care on giving crits, please do. And could somebody make a 2x display of it?

I'd say it's sort of unusual for a statue to have hair flowing out that far... you generally want to avoid big protrusions that could break. Sot o my eye the hair and robes look okay for a person but bad for a statue.

Hi,
Thats really cool, I love everything about this, the proportions, pose and shading are all awsome. But I think Papillion is right, I've never seen a statue with hair or a mass of that kind of size protruding that far out, but then again I'm sure if it was rooted in place however, it wouldnt topple, and I'm relativley sure this could be carved from stone and not break. I think its just that people are generally not used to seeing a statue with hair coming out that far.
Not sure how they used to attach statues to there moorings but if they were just resting them there, I'm sure this would fall over due to its top, left heaviness.
So I would try to lessen the size of the hair slightly, perhaps so that it stops in line with hthe edge of that billowing sleeve. See if that makes it look right, other than that, great stuff.

This whole game is set in another planet, a fantasy one. This is because I don't want to restrict myself to that sort of rules, if you know what I'm saying.

I think it looks okay with the hair. There aren't any indivual strands of hair, so its almost plausible. What if another god (a master sculptor) created this statue? Then it IS completely plausible. I like it, it has a nice, smooth look of marble. Kudos.

As already stated it has a smooth flawless feel, it also has a majestic yet cold and sorrowful feeling about it, love it very much, face looks kind of pale, but that is consistent with marbled colors. REminds me of castlevania, there should be some sort of base even if it's relatively short. Awesome work, post your other stuff here for sure! or the legit Pixelation heh

I like the overall feel of it and if it's a fantasy world magic can keep the hair from falling off. However one thing I noticed that looks wrong is the breasts. She's turned slightly away which means the further breast should be slightly higher but right now the closer breast is higher.

Thanks I didn't do a base because it's gonna be kinda hidden behind the bushes, so I couldn't really bother >< And with the breasts, yeah, I'll try to fix that. I am no longer going with Y perspective, for it's a platform game.
