Ok, the skeletons are alright. The rest is so pillow shaded, it's nuts. Pick a light-source, man. For the love of pete, pick a light-source.

What the hell are you all on about? Light source? You ever seen knight graphics? THAT'S THE LIGHT'S EFFECT ON METAL. The metal parts at least, are shaded correctly. The only problem I can see is the hands.

I disagree, light doesn't just magically distribute itself over all of the metal.

light should be staright on like most sprites, yeah the hands are jacked it's nowhere near goo yet so i need C+C...I don't think interesting light effects are good for anything that's going to be animated or part of a game, more for artwork.
Suggestions for the metal?

I'm not saying it SHOULD be pillow-shaded, I'm saying it's NOT pillow-shaded.

And believe me, you never, ever, EVER want to use pillow-shading. NO official sprites use pillow-shading, it looks like crap anyway, and it is never ever the best method to shade. So use light coming from the upper-right.
